At the turn of April, Lilacs start blossoming in Prague, and they served as inspiration for this spring editorial, which we’ve put together in the beautiful historical center of our capital, Prague, which is also a UNESCO heritage site.
The photoshoot was very hard because we had to start preparing the models at 4 in the morning, so that we could get to the famed Charles bridge before sunrise, at a time when few to no tourists are there. If you want romantic photos from Charles bridge, it’s necessary to wake up rather early, although sometimes it can also get quite busy even in the early mornings.
Lucy Průžková did the bride’s styling. A princess-like dress with a vibrant skirt made of good silk and a bodice with Svarowski crystals sown into it. This dress is from the Pronovias Atelier collection, and we chose it in the Nuance Salon, they were kind enough to also lend us a whole outfit for the groom. We wanted traditional smoking for the groom, it’s timeless, and you can’t go wrong with it. I lent the wedding ring and jewelry from my collection.
The bride’s shoes were very original, a pair of court shoes or pumps that had Svarowski diamonds embedded in them. They were from Rene Caovilla.
We placed the wedding table into the romantic baroque Furstenberské zahrady (gardens), with a staggering genius loci, times long past can still be felt in these magical gardens!
Ponk Rentals did the table styling. The primary color was Lilac combined with various shades of violet and white. The central motif for decoration was, of course, Lilac, in two shades of color – violet, and white. We combined the Lilac with other, different flowers as well. The cutlery, plates, candles, and containers for the floral arrangements were all in a patinated silver color. White porcelain, grey linen table-cloth and white linen serviettes in combination with crystal glasses from Zarahome highlighted the luxurious wedding board perfectly! Louisa chairs from NFCP added to the different look. Beautiful floral arrangements, put together in Fineart style, were complemented by candles in the concept’s color, along with flower tied with a silk ribbon, both decorating a linen serviette.
Another gem that caught our eye during the making of this editorial was the unbelievably perfect wedding cake from Prague city cake, with precisely modeled petals decorating it.
A wedding bouquet taken to perfection, put together somewhat loosely in shades of Lilac, done by our florist from Ponk rentals; she complemented it with some soft silk grey and Lilac ribbons. The groom’s breast pocket was adorned with a corsage.
The calligraphic printed materials made out of hand-made paper were taken care of by ‘Láskou psané’ (Written with Love). We must also thank Matěj Třasák, for the wonderful photos he took!
